Ask Lianne
June 19, 2005 Last year, I had a month-long fling with a really hot guy. I have a great boyfriend now, but I can't seem to get the other guy out of my mind. Even though I'm really happy with my boyfriend, I keep thinking about the other guy and feeling jealous of his current girlfriend. How do I get over him? It seems like you are sure that you want to get over your old fling, but there's something drawing you back to him. Sometimes if there's something missing in our current relationship we will compare it to something we had in the past. Is there something about your boyfriend that you are not satisfied with? On the other hand, sometimes after some time has elapsed, our memories become skewed and we forget why a past relationship didn't work out. Think closely about the conflicts you had with the guy in your past, and the reasons you are not still together. Focus on that, be logical, give it some time, and you'll be fine.
